We are seeking a MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST or MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN in Laurium, Michigan to work at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.
This position conducts laboratory testing on patient specimens including chemical and hematological testing of blood or body fluids, and microbiological cultures of various body sites.
Hours: This position is Occasional/ as needed.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
Board of Registry Certification as MT or MLT (ASCP, AMT, AD) or CS (NCA) eligible; must receive certification within one year of hire.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Associate degree, or equivalent.
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
Meticulous attention to detail with elevated critical thinking skills
Understanding and tactful with patients, visitors, and co-workers, even under stress.
