The Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson seeks a full-time Radiation Therapist to join their Radiation Oncology team in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
This position provides radiation therapy and simulation to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
Deliver accurate and prescribed course(s) of radiation therapy to patients while observing reactions.
Simulate patients using CT protocols in accordance with Radiation Oncologist directions.
Fabricate immobilization devices, custom blocks, bolus, or other needs as required for treatment.
Maintain patient records and daily treatment charges.
Assist with quality control and report any equipment failure to appropriate staff.
Maintain/comply with department policies and procedures, federal and state laws, industry guidelines, and assist with accreditation protocols; ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Keep current with cancer industry practices, technology, and equipment; attend continuing education, read industry literature/procedures/product information to maintain knowledge and professional acumen; participate in hospital activities/education related to radiation therapy and cancer program.
Maintain effective and professional communication with patients, hospital staff and care providers at all times.

44 per hour starting pay based on experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
Graduate from an accredited program in Radiation Therapy required.
Registered/certified in Radiation Therapy with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months if hired.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification preferred, or ability to obtain if hired.
Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor that ensures trust, competence and compassion amongst team members, patients and families while undergoing cancer care treatment.
Ability to successfully pass a pre-hire drug screening and background check.
