Position Summary:
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department.
Reports to: Director
FLSA: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Enters and maintains HRIS record preparation, updates, and reporting on all current employees and new hires, ensuring proper filing of all records via scanning or hard copy.

Assists in the onboarding process for employees by conducting processing new hire documentation, including initiating and verifying background checks, finger printing, and license/ certification requirements.
Actively communicates with new hires to ensure they start in a timely manner.

Organizes and facilitates orientation for new hires per the schedule set by HR.

Responds to high volume of phone calls, visitors, and e-mails on HR questions in a timely and professional manner.
Able to answer Human Resources questions; directs other questions/inquiries to appropriate staff for resolution.

Provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and HR Manager as needed.
Assists with various HR tasks such as I-9 compliance, retention activities, mass mailing, and creating personnel files.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate's degree (Preferred)
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, confidential environment and take appropriate action.
Knowledge of Joint Commission, Compliance, Medicare/Medicaid, & HIPAA.

3 years business administration/ HR related experience (Preferred)
