We are seeking a SUPERVISOR OF NURSING in Ontonagon, MI at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital.
The Supervisor of Nursing is a professional Registered Nurse who, under the direction of a manager or Director, assist with daily responsibility for the coordination, leadership and the development of personnel and operations.
Assumes leadership responsibility in the manager or director’s absence.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a nursing program.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
This position requires previous demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills, and a work record of collaborative working relationships.
Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing.
An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.

Additional department specific competencies or certifications may be required (i.
e ACLS).
Must have strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills.
Computer experience: Fluent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Hours: Full-time or 1.
0 FTE, 80 hours per two weeks' pay period.
Mainly day shifts, occasional night shift as needed.

Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital, a licensed 18-bed Critical Access Hospital is dedicated to serving the residents of Ontonagon County and the surrounding areas.
You will find a wide range of services, some of which you might not normally expect to find in a small rural setting including 24/7 Emergency Department, in-house services such as Imaging, CT, Ultrasound, Laboratory, Infusion, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, Swing Bed, and an attached Clinic.
Our average admissions are 700 per year with 3,000 annual ER visits.
We also have an outpatient physical therapy department located across the street from the hospital.
Ontonagon is located in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, on the south shore of Lake Superior and close to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and Ottawa National Forest.
