Skills and Duties:
Responsible for the accurate and precise performance of laboratory procedures, and the reporting of the same to the proper physician or medical record on a timely basis.
Responsible for maintaining the laboratory work place, including equipment and records in good working order; and maintaining a positive image of the laboratory and hospital to the patients, community and co-workers.
Directly responsible to the Laboratory Director.
Daily contact with co-workers and other hospital personnel, medical staff, patients/residents, and visitors.
Must be able to work independently.
Qualifications:
MLT or MLS/MT required
Experience or willingness to train in all areas of the lab.
Microbiology, molecular, urinalysis, hematology, serology, chemistry/IA, blood bank, coagulation.
Experience in phlebotomy preferred but not required
BLS required
