Med/Surg - Graduate Nurse

Summary: Under the direction of the Registered Nurse coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Certifications and Licensures: QUALIFICATIONS – MED/SURG BCLS required.
ACLS recommended.
PALS recommended.
Crisis management/restraint training required within forty-five (45) days from date of hire.
Required Education: EDUCATION – ALL: Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing and provides documentation of same.
GN seeking RN licensure: must successfully pass NCLEX-RN within 2 attempts or 6 months whichever is sooner.
