*The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:* Promote recovery and community integration for adults with mental illness, respecting their right to person centered planning and least intrusive alternatives.
Provide support services to individuals who are diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.
Responsible for completing assessments, as well as monitoring, linking and coordination of services within the community.
Perform necessary liaison and consultation work with ancillary agencies such as: Department of Health and Human Services, Courts, Social Security Administration, Foster Care Providers and Families.
Provide periodic reviews to ensure appropriate services are being provided, and that treatment plans are reflective of the services.
Responsible for continuous development of treatment plans, providing guidance, and advocating for person served.
*To be successful, this candidate must have* 1.
Bachelors Degree required in Social Work, Psychology, or other related Human Service field.
2.
State of Michigan Registration as Social Service Technician, or the ability to obtain within one year of employment.
3.
Preferred State of Michigan Registration as a Licensed Bachelors or Masters Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor Preferred.
Will also consider Limited Licensed clinicians (LLBSW, LLMSW, LLPC) 4.
Knowledge and/or experience assisting people diagnosed with substance use disorders.
5.
Previous experience with facilitation of groups preferred.
6.
Proficient computer skills necessary, with experience utilizing Excel & Microsoft Word programs.
7.
Appointment is subject to a criminal background check and negative urine drug screen.
8.
Must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid driver's license; and provide own transportation.
