Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate sleep advanced practice provider (APP) to join our multidisciplinary sleep medicine team.
You will work closely with our sleep physician and other staff members to provide high-quality care to patients with various sleep disorders.
You will also participate in research, quality improvement, and educational activities related to sleep medicine.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive sleep evaluations, including history taking, physical examination, and interpretation of sleep studies
Diagnose and treat sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, and more
Prescribe and adjust positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy and other treatments as needed
Educate patients and their families about the importance of healthy sleep habits and the benefits of adhering to treatment plans
Collaborate with other health care providers, such as primary care physicians, pulmonologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, and dentists, to coordinate care and referrals
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A master’s or doctoral degree in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
A current license to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the state of Illinois.
A commitment to serving with the greatest care and love.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of two years of clinical experience in neurology, preferably in epilepsy.
A strong knowledge of evidence-based guidelines and best practices in epilepsy care.
