Responsibilities include (not in order of priority and not limited to): * Manage and plan the day-to-day administration.
* Remain up to date on relevant industry-related and state-mandated laws and regulations, analyze their impact and make recommendations to operations and management to update internal SOPs in accordance with new regulations.
* Act as eyes and ears for the leadership team, and make recommendations as needed.
* Work with functional leaders to ensure information is communicated and all managers are properly informed of changes to regulations, policies, and procedures in their respective areas.
Position Details: * Location: *MQT Corporate* * Core working Hours: *Admin mainly 8:30am-5pm Mon-Fri* * Weekly Overtime: *none, if requested sporadically* * Weekend Work: *none, if requested sporadically* * Travel: *none, up to 15% if requested* *The Position* This role will report directly to the Company's Director of Operations.
*Job overview:* The Compliance Analyst will keep the management team up to date on legal and regulatory matters impacting operations, assist in the development of company policies and standard operating procedures, monitor operations to identify and correct instances of non-compliance, and review and evaluate compliance issues and concerns within the Company and conduct regular audits and staff trainings.
The Compliance Analyst will also work with the leadership team and department managers to develop and implement repeatable processes, policies, and systems related to compliance and ensure their effectiveness.
Will assist with completing internal and external reporting on compliance issues.
*Duties and responsibilities:* * Coordinate the completion of internal audits for all license types on an ongoing basis.
* Score ongoing internal audits.
* Review scores, issues, trends, and best practices with Regional Managers weekly.
* Review and update internal audits as necessary.
* Ability to explain regulations in a way that will be understandable to front line employees.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
* Updating and maintenance of a robust set of SOPs, KPI scorecard, and operating cadence for operations.
* Maintain internal compliance and audit controls through checklists, protocols, and other means to ensure operational success.
* Assist in identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; developing/implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues; and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
* Manage the implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the operating Shape units.
* Meet regularly with Director of Operations * Submit weekly reports to the Director of Operations with current compliance issues, recommendations, and regulatory updates.
* Respond to management inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
* Coordinates the completion and maintenance of sensitive data.
* Prepares presentations as needed.
* Perform other duties as required.
*Qualifications* * 2-year degree or equivalent experience * Deep knowledge of and familiarity with cannabis regulations for medical and adult use cannabis is preferred.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, technical procedures, professional journals, and general business periodicals.
* Ability to write reports, update dashboards and procedures with concise and trending data * Present information and effectively respond to questions as necessary.

* Ability to work well with other departments.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.
00 - $60,000.
