Bay Veterinary Clinic is a small animal single doctor veterinary practice in Gladstone, Michigan in the heart of the Upper Peninsula.
Our clinic embodies the small-town charm ad warm hospitality that epitomizes Michigans Upper Peninsula.
As a single-doctor practice eager to expand, we are on the lookout for a dedicated Associate Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join us on a full or part-time basis.
Our clinic maintains a balanced schedule, operating Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with no weekend or after-hours duties at present.
Compensation starts at $100,000 plus production bonus (Full-time equivalent)
Experienced DVM's preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team.
As a Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality medical care to our animal patients and ensure their well-being.

Duties: - Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries - Develop and implement treatment plans for animals, including prescribing medications and performing surgeries - Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and dental cleanings - Provide emergency care to animals in critical condition - Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention - Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals - Maintain accurate medical records for all patients - Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education programs Skills: - Proficiency in laboratory procedures, including blood work analysis and diagnostic imaging interpretation - Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively - Knowledge of animal husbandry practices to ensure the well-being of animals in our care - Experience working in a kennel or animal shelter setting is preferred - Strong animal handling skills, including dog training techniques - Familiarity with veterinary terminology and ability to communicate effectively with clients - Ability to provide critical care to animals, including catheterization and emergency procedures - Knowledge of practice management software systems for maintaining accurate records If you are a dedicated Veterinarian with a passion for providing exceptional care to animals, we would love to hear from you.
