Software Engineering Apprentice

*Overview*: Do you want to apply artificial intelligence to tackle some of the most challenging problems in government? Garoux is seeking a Software Engineering Apprentice to join our team.
We will work with you to develop skills in programming, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
You will receive direct mentorship from experienced engineers and work on professional certifications.
Once you have the skills to work as an engineer, you will be placed on a project with our federal clients building and supporting mission critical applications.

*Requirements*: * Must have lived in a HUBZone for the past 6 months.

* High school diploma or GED * Some prior programming experience in any language * Strong writing and communication skills * Highly self-motivated *Preferred Qualifications*: * Bachelor’s Degree OR combined 4 years of work experience / military service * Openly available examples of projects you have worked on (any project where you were a key contributor or leader is acceptable - not just programming projects) * Experience using or developing REST APIs *Duties*: * Excel at online courses in programming and software architecture to obtain professional certifications * Develop software applications with mentorship from experienced engineers * After obtaining certifications, work with our federal clients to build and support software applications *Clearance*: Must be able to obtain and maintain a confidential security clearance Garoux LLC is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
