TriMedia Environmental and Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Civil/Survey CADD Technician in Marquette, MI.
As a Civil/Survey CADD Technician, you will support both field collection and site layout activities for our Survey Department.
Additionally, you will prepare surface models to be utilized by contractors for machine control.
Other duties will include assisting in the preparation of as-built documents, civil site planning, corridor modeling and design, and base mapping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Survey staff to post-process and develop final survey deliverables (including base maps, as-built surveys, boundary certificates, ALTA surveys.
)
Develop as-built documentation to support final payment calculations.
Develop surface models to be utilized by contractor machine control with data obtained from engineering plans.
Perform self-scheduling and communicate with team members to meet revolving project deadlines.
Develop various design documents including grading plans, utility layouts, roadway plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details.
Provide a review of completed deliverables (prepared by self and others) to verify plan and scope adherence.
Support field assignments as required.
Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
Associate degree in CADD, Civil Engineering, or related field.
OR 3+ years of experience in Autodesk Civil 3D without a degree.
Ability to accurately interpret construction plans and engineer drawings.
Proficiency in Civil 3D modeling techniques associated with grading, surface model building, corridor building, alignment, and profile creation, cross-section views.
Work effectively with other staff/departments.
Well-rounded communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the use of Trimble Business Center software.
Experience with machine control operations including Topcon and Trimble systems.
