In business since 1986, Spodeck Contracting is a local small business located in Skandia, Michigan.
We are located 15 minutes from the city of Marquette, 3 minutes past Kassel's Korner Gas Station in Beaver Grove, Michigan.
We service customers needing *lawn care, parking lot sweeping, & snow removal* throughout the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin.
We also run a *trucking business*.
We are seeking an extremely detail-oriented, organized, and dependable individual.
He or she must have substantial experience with QuickBooks and Excel, or comparable alternatives.
Any knowledge of auto mechanics, plowing, or lawncare would be greatly beneficial to this position.
He or she also needs to be passionate about their position to ensure that all financial processes run smoothly and accurately.
The Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper is a crucial part of our small business as he or she creates detailed reports & invoices, keeping accurate, up-to-date, records on file.
The Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper is responsible for managing his or her own workflow and ensuring that all office procedures are met in a given time period.
*QuickBooks experience (or a comparable alternative) is absolutely crucial to attaining this position.

*Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper Duties:*
* Organizing and managing databases
* Bookkeeping
* Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
* Monitor & maintain office supplies inventory
* Ordering supplies and parts for mechanic shop
* Track employee expenses
* Preparing financial reports
* Processing invoices and managing payments recieved
* Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
* Updating and maintaining insurance records
Schedule: Monday - Friday (flexible hours & days)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience with QuickBooks or equivalent is required.
1 year of experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $24.
