org/jobs *Duties and Responsibilities: * * Perform data processing for payroll, accounts payable, district purchase cards, cash receipts, and deposits for EUPISD and EUPBSC districts * Prepare applicable year end reports and assist in the preparation of documents for the school district’s annual independent audit * Prepare bi-weekly third-party invoices for EUPISD and/or EUPBSC districts * Per established policies and procedures, maintain and provide requested information of leave days and payroll deductions * Process and maintain all files, records, and reports directly related to the Business Office * Work collaboratively with other EUPBSC staff to provide a high level of business services in an efficient manner for all consortium districts * Attend professional development workshops and trainings as requested and as appropriate * As needed for completion of duties, attend meetings outside of normal working hours * Remain free of substance abuse and/or illegal drug use at all times while an employee of the EUPISD * Keep the affairs of the school district and the Board of Education of the EUPISD and all constituent districts confidential at all times * Perform other duties as assigned *Minimum Qualifications:* * Associates’ degree preferred, or equivalent skills and/or experience * Minimum two years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping or demonstrated competence in related field preferred * Achieve/maintain MSBO Payroll Specialist Certification/Human Resources Specialist * High degree of proficiency in office procedures/bookkeeping, keyboarding, office equipment, operation, maintenance, business machines & computer software programs * Ability to make decisions without close supervision, and must be accurate, efficient and capable of handling detailed work assignments * Proficient in spreadsheet software application Microsoft Excel, basic skills using e-mail and using word processor application Microsoft Word * Experience with computerized accounting systems preferred * Good organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, diligent work habits, and the ability to apply common sense to routine decision making * Regular and reliable attendance and high moral character * Ability to maintain self-control and complete tasks with frequent interruptions * Ability to work cooperatively with other office personnel * Valid driver’s license Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $19.
